Basketball AND FOOTBALL Pep Band
During football season, the marching ensemble plays for every home football game at the Aloha stadium. During basketball season, every student in the Aloha Band program is required to play in an assigned basketball band. Students will be assigned either a Blue Band or a Gold Band and will play pep music at basketball games. This schedule will be sent out in November, and every student is required to attend at least 3 basketball games to earn a grade in their concert band class.
The band is supported in many ways at the school, and we give back by supporting the athletic teams and being visible in the community. The bands provide entertainment to the crowd, and have fun as a team. It is a great place to hone skills outside the classroom with a new kind of music, meet new friends outside your own band class, and build community in a new setting. Students play a variety of styles of music, both short and long stands tunes, as well as pop, rock and other contemporary songs. The pep band for football games is the marching ensemble members.
