The award-winning AHS Marching Ensemble is a co-curricular ensemble that represents Aloha High School at competitions and football games in the fall. Performing a custom designed field show, this ensemble rehearses three days a week and performs at evening home football games, as well as 3-4 competitions on selected Saturdays.
This ensemble is one of the most visible groups in the Aloha Band and Guard and students learn leadership skills, build community, and be a part of creating a high quality production as a marching ensemble.
All marching ensemble members are required to be enrolled in either concert band, symphonic band, or wind ensemble during the school day to participate. This ensemble would not function without its many wonderful volunteers from each family of each student. There is an additional fee for participating to be paid to the band boosters, WBAPI. This ensemble is not financially supported by the school or district, so this fee pays for the specialized instruction from a comprehensive staff, design of an original themed show, competition fees, uniform upkeep, equipment purchases and maintenance, and many other aspects of the marching program.
